Smile Farms holds 12th Annual Golf Outing at 2 Nassau courses

Attendees and volunteers came together to help support its organization, which offers vocational training and jobs to adults with developmental disabilities across 14 campuses on Long Island and in New York City.

Smile Farms held its 12th Annual Golf Outing on Monday, May 18, at Sands Point Golf Club and North Hempstead Country Club.

Attendees and volunteers came together to help support the organization, which offers vocational training and jobs to adults with developmental disabilities across 14 campuses on Long Island and in New York City.

Managing Director Steve McDermott says the support shown at the event will help expand the mission of Smile Farms.

"We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this year’s outing such a success," said McDermott. "Their support helps create more opportunities for training and employment while empowering our Smile Farmers to grow in confidence, independence and purpose."

Hersh was recognized for showcasing Smile Farms products at his restaurants and McElwee for his efforts in growing his school's horticulture program.
